Data deletion
Last updated: 27 September 2026
You can remove CrossPost's access and delete the data it holds about you at any time. Deleting your CrossPost data does not remove videos you already posted; manage those in each platform's app. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Disconnect one platform
Sign in to CrossPost, open Settings and press Disconnect on the platform. CrossPost revokes its access where the platform allows it (TikTok and Google), deletes that platform's tokens and account details, and stops that platform's posts that are still in progress. The rest of your account stays.
You can't disconnect the only platform you sign in with; turn on sign-in for another connected platform first, or delete your whole account.
Delete your CrossPost account
In Settings press Delete my CrossPost account (on the TikTok posting page it is labelled "Disconnect TikTok and delete my data"). CrossPost revokes its access with every connected platform, deletes any stored videos, and permanently deletes your account, tokens and post history immediately. Copies in our database provider's encrypted backups are overwritten within 7 days.
Remove CrossPost from a platform
- Google / YouTube: remove CrossPost at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. CrossPost notices within a day and deletes your YouTube data within 7 days (normally within a day).
- Instagram: in the Instagram app go to Settings, then Apps and websites, and remove CrossPost. Instagram tells CrossPost, which then deletes your Instagram tokens and details and stops Instagram posts in progress (if Instagram is how you sign in, only your Instagram account ID is kept, so you can sign back in). A data deletion request sent through Meta deletes everything CrossPost holds from Instagram and gets a confirmation code you can check below.
- TikTok: in the TikTok app go to Settings and privacy, then Security and permissions, then Apps and services permissions, and remove CrossPost. To also delete what CrossPost holds, use Settings or email us.
